The FoodIntegrityStudio team attended the annual conference on “Innovation in rural areas”. Besides interesting talks from prominent speakers such as Franz Fischler the event focused on 3 main topics:

• Environment and environmental protection
• Collaboration in the meat supply chain
• Innovation, a chance to sustain quality of life

The key conclusion was: “Strategies and policies for the rural area need to be newly drafted rather than reformed”. Rural development is closely linked to agriculture and the food supply chain.
